Some background on Think

Think is a relatively new and growing business.  Ingy, our Founder and Managing Director, began Think on her own four years ago. It was her mission to start a center that would offer the best possible solutions to enable the children it served to reach their maximum potential and to support and help the parents of those children.

We are now a dynamic center with two directors, in-clinic and outreach programs, supervisors, leads and primary therapists in a beautiful, custom facility that accommodates over 20 clinical staff.

Having grown from a staff of 4 people three years ago to around 30 today, Think has changes and evolves regularly. With plans to expand our programs and introduce new ones, we will continue to grow. This means that working at Think is best suited to people who like change, are comfortable with an evolving structure, and want to be a part of creating and improving our structure, our programs, and our services.

We are constantly evolving, so that Think has been unrecognizable year-on-year. And, we have by no means reached our full potential. There is the opportunity for everyone on our team to grow and evolve as we do.

Living in Bahrain

Think is centrally located, in Saar, an area where there are many options for accommodation and there is a combination of expat families and local families. We are also very close to an area, called the Seef area, which has many restaurants, shopping malls, and lots options for accommodation. Bahrain is small and very easy to get around, although, like any thriving place that attracts a lot of people, there can be traffic, which everyone loves to complain about.

It is a nice and welcoming place to live that attracts diverse and interesting people. Having said that, it is essential to be able to learn and respect local culture and customs in order to fully appreciate and enjoy it. If you like to travel, one of the highlights of living here is the ability to easily travel to so many wonderful places.

Cost of living in Bahrain

There are no income taxes in Bahrain, so – with the exception of a 1% employment tax – your salary is your take-home pay.  This means that, if you assume an overall tax rate of 35% in your country, $50,000 income in Bahrain is equivalent to a post-tax income of about $76,000.

To give you an idea of basic costs:

  • A nice, 1-bedroom furnished flat in a central location costs between $1,000 and $1,600 a month.
  • To lease a small car costs about $400 per month.
