Occupational Therapy

At Think, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate confidently and independently in daily life. Occupational Therapy supports children in developing the essential skills needed for learning, play, social interaction, self-care, and emotional regulation.

Our Occupational Therapy services support children with sensory, developmental, motor, attention, and functional challenges through individualized, evidence-based, child-centered intervention plans. Therapy focuses on building the skills children need for daily living, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday activities.

To ensure a comprehensive approach, our team collaborates with other healthcare providers (both within and outside of the center), educators, parents, and caregivers.

We offer a wide range of service delivery modes and settings:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Parent/caregiver Coaching
  • Training
  • Center
  • School
  • Home
  • Virtual

Occupational Therapy helps individuals develop the physical, sensory, and cognitive skills needed to participate in everyday life, including self-care, school tasks, play, and independence.

  • Difficulty with fine motor skills (writing, using utensils)
  • Delays in self-care skills (dressing, feeding)
  • Sensory sensitivities (over/under reaction to sounds, textures)
  • Poor coordination or balance
  • Difficulty focusing or completing tasks

Sensory processing refers to how the brain receives and responds to sensory information (touch, movement, sound, etc.). Some children may be over-responsive or under-responsive, impacting behavior and daily functioning.

Fine motor skills involve small muscle movements, especially in the hands and fingers, needed for tasks such as writing, buttoning, and using tools.

Gross motor skills involve larger body movements such as walking, running, jumping, balance, and coordination.

Occupational Therapy focuses on building practical, everyday skills so individuals can complete tasks independently at home, school, and in the community.

Yes. Parent and caregiver involvement is essential. We provide guidance and strategies to ensure skills are practiced and maintained outside of sessions.
